Willis "Buddy" Boyd Lawson, Jr.

Mr. Willis Boyd “Buddy” Poppy” Lawson, Jr., age 77, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at his home in Waverly, TN, surrounded by his loving family. Buddy Lawson, Jr. was born March 4, 1944, in Nashville, TN, to Willis Boyd Lawson, Sr. and Nell Elizabeth Thompson Lawson. He married Miriam Louise Stewart Lawson on November 26, 1993. Buddy Lawson, Jr. was the retired Owner of Merideth & Voorhees Plumbing & Electric in Waverly. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a Shriner, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Waverly Masonic Lodge #304. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Military Honors will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by his Masonic Service. Family and friends will be officiating the service. Cremation will be at Richlawn Crematory, our on-site crematory, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly.
