Von Gardner

Mrs. Ethel Youvoin "Von" Gardner, age 81, of McEwen, TN, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the home of her grandson, Wade and Kristen Gardner, in Columbia, TN. Von was born June 19, 1939, in Florence, AL, to Wilburn Edward and Hester Caroline Morris Parrish. She was married to the late Victor "Vic" Eugene Gardner. She was a retired Cosmetologist and Owner of Von's Beauty Salon in McEwen, TN. Von was a member of Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene in McEwen. She was also a member for 27 years of the Humphreys County Election Commission. She was a lovely lady and made friends so easily. If you knew Von, you loved her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Special thanks to Wade and Kristen Gardner for taking such compassionate and loving care of her. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 5-7 p.m., and Sunday, July 12, 2020, from 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Rev. Lawrence Golden and Mr. Frank Wright will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
