Virginia L. Walker

Virginia L. Walker, of Waverly, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 25,2021 at the blessed age of 95, surrounded by family at her home in Nashville, TN.

Mrs. Virginia Walker's visitation will be at 10:00am Saturday, October 2, 2021. Funeral services will proceed visitation at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home, 2400 TN-13, Waverly, TN 37185 at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Virginia was born June 13, 1926, in Humphrey County, to the late Ed and Clara Goodrich. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walker, of Waverly, TN; sister's Lillian Porter, Elizabeth Wells, of Indianapolis, IN.

She is survived by five generations. Children: Beverly (Babu) Omido, Nairobi, Kenya, Van (Wilma) Turner, Wichita, KS, Robert (Comiel) Turner, Waverly, TN, Mary Jenkins, Nashville, TN, and Steven (Melissa) Turner, Waverly, TN. 17 Grandchildren, 41 great-Grandchildren, and 12 great- great- Grandchildren. In addition to her children, brother Daniel (Katherine) Goodrich, brother-in law William Wells, two sisters: Rosa Gardner, and Joyce (Riley) Turner, and a plethora of nieces, nephews and friends.
