Vera E. Bullington

Vera E. Bullington, affectionately known as “granny”, age 94 of Burns, TN passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born in Gorman, TN on February 19, 1930. Vera spent her life dedicated to her family and cultivating a warm, loving home. Vera was known for her crafty nature, often creating beautiful and thoughtful items that brought joy to her loved ones. Her hands were skillful not only in crafts but also in the kitchen, where she delighted family and friends with her wonderful cooking. Vera was a devoted caregiver, always placing the needs of others before her own, embodying the essence of compassion and love. Her home was a gathering place where memories were made, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter, Tonya Glenn (Donnie) of Burns, TN; grandson, Jason Mitchell (Joanna) of Waverly, TN; great grandchildren, Khloe Glenn, Bella Glenn, Landon Mitchell and Dylan Mitchell; step son, Jr. Bullington (Gwen) of McEwen, TN; and her golden doodle, Molly.

Along with her parents, Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bullington; son, Randy Mitchell and her siblings. 

Visitation will take place at Luff-Bowen McEwen Chapel on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and also on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service beginning at 12:00 PM. Vera will be laid to rest at McEwen Cemetery.
