Timothy Warren Cobb, born December 17th, 1958 in Lake City, Arkansas to parents Max Gene Cobb & Barbara June Smith. Upon graduation Tim attended The Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles, CA, Tim went on to design and create many magnificent gowns for The Miss America pageant before coming to Tennessee in hopes of presenting his gown design sketches to Loretta Lynn. Tim was a treasured & beloved member of the entire Lynn Family. Tim began designing Loretta’s iconic stage gowns in 1982 at the age of 24. Through the years Tim has designed and handmade more than 800 of Loretta’s signature gowns. Tim moved to Hurricane Mills, TN full time in 1998 to become not only Loretta’s designer but her constant companion. He designed and oversaw the building and creation of Loretta’s private home, tour bus and the 18.000 sq. foot museum at her ranch. Tim Cobb’s importance to preserving Loretta’s legacy cannot be understated. The love, devotion and friendship between Tim Cobb and Loretta Lynn cannot be unscored enough. It is enduring and eternal. Tim’s capacity to love and care for his friends and family also extended to his love of animals. Tim, a born nurturer, took care and loved all kinds of animals. He will be greatly missed by all of his 4 legged babies. He will be deeply missed by his friends, colleagues, Fans and his family. Tim is proceeded in death by his parents: Father : Max Gene Cobb, Mother: Barbara June Cobb, Brother: Gary Gene Cobb, Charles Wayne Cobb, Sister Joy “Deneen” Cobb Tim is survived by Nieces Candace Seaborn, Claire Tracey, Kimberly Nearns and Nephew Troy Prior The extraordinary life and legacy of Tim Cobb’s lifeworks will be showcased and honored through the Loretta Lynn Foundation.
