Sylvia Pirtle

Mrs. Sylvia Evon Bell Pirtle, age 75 of Dickson, TN, formerly of McEwen, passed away July 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Sylvia was born January 8, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Monroe Bell and Majorie Potts Bell. She was a cashier supervisor for many years at Tipps CB Store. Sylvia and her husband, Edwin were members of the McEwen Church of Christ when they resided in Humphreys County and are current members of Sylvia Church of Christ. She taught several classes in the Church and enjoyed the ministry and was very active in her great niece and nephew's extra curricular activities. Sylvia and Edwin loved to travel with her cousin Cynthia and her husband Carl.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen from 5pm to 8pm and on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 11am until time of service at 3pm. Bro Jim Suddeath and Bro. Darrell Tummins will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Bethpage Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 40 years, James Edwin Pirtle.
