Sue Twilla Jones

Ms. Sue Twilla Jones, age 83 of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at her home. She was born January 29, 1937 in Waverly to Thomas Clay Twilla and Mary Louise Graves Twilla. Sue was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ. She loved flowers and lovely things, but what she loved the most was her family. Her four children blessed her with five grandchildren and five great grand children, and they were everything to her. 

Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 28, 2020, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, from 10am until time of service at 2pm. Adam Schwerdtfeger will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Adam Schwerdtfeger, Channing Jones, Klay Pirtle, Dennis Dreaden, Dan Longshore, and Lee Story.

3 Daughters: Lisa Jane Jones, Waverly

                    Tracy Jones Dreaden (Dennis), Waverly

                    Amy Twilla  Jones Longshore (Dan), Doylestown, Pennsylvania

Brother: Tony Twilla (Martha), Knoxville, TN

5 Grandchildren: Kelly Jayne Schwerdtfeger Story (Lee), Adam Clay Schwerdtfeger (Danielle), Channing Young Jones, Lucas Jackson Jones, and Andrew Plant Jones (Kayla).

5 Great-grandchildren: Klay Wilson Pirtle, Lilleeyana Jane Story, Hadley Drew Jones, Leighton Olivia Jones, and Brent Baker Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Clay and Mary Louise Twilla; and her brother, Jerry Twilla.
