Shirley Faye Reese Stewart

Mrs. Shirley Faye Reese Stewart, age 85, of Waverly, TN, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Stewart was born December 30, 1935, in Waverly, TN, to Arthur Patrick and Alice Pearl Hodge Reese. She was a member of The Log Church in Waverly. She was a Retail Manager for Dollar General Store and a Homemaker. Shirley loved gardening and flowers, cooking, and taking care of her precious family. She also loved her volunteer ministry work at the Humphreys County Jail. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 11, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Visitation on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, will be from 11:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at The Log Church, 2481 Highway 70 East, Waverly, TN. Bro. Carmack Johnson and Bro. Trent Stewart will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Jason Stewart, Kyle Stewart, J. D. Dixon, Hunter Grantham, Chris Stepp, and Scott Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Stewart and Gavin Stewart.
