Mr. Richard Mac Flowers, age 93, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Mr. Mac Flowers was born April 21, 1926, in Rutherford, TN, to Richard Dewey and Inez McDonald Flowers. Mac enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country from February 16, 1944 until his Honorable Discharge on May 21, 1946. He was married to Ernestine Matheney Flowers. He worked for Tennessee Valley Authority in New Johnsonville for 37 years and retired as a Power Plant Unit Operator. He was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church in New Johnsonville, TN for 65 years. Mac was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Caldwell Lodge 273 in Hustburg for 60 years. He was also a member of the Tennessee T's and Humphreys County Antique Motor and Tractor Club. Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 3, 2020, from 2-8 p.m. with a Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Tuesday, February 4, 2020, visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Chapel in Waverly. Rev. Mark Warren will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN with military honors. Survivors include: 1 Son: Richard W.
