Rena May Curtis Patrick

Mrs. Rena May Curtis Patrick was born November 22, 1931 in McEwen, TN. She passed away August 29, 2021, at the Humphreys County Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Patrick, daughter, Nancy Cagle, and grandson Andrew Patrick. Her parents were the late Hubert and Azell Boone Curtis. She was the 4th child out of 9 children, Marie, Louise, Edward, Maxine, JoAnn, Shirley, Carolyn, and Ralph. Over the years she had many interests. Sewing, crocheting, and reading were some of her favorites. But she could also do whatever she set her mind to doing. She had a giving heart and liked to help people. It may have been to make a dress for someone or take them vegetables out of the garden. She also handled the Curtis Chapel Cemetery Fund for many years. In 72 years of marriage to L. D., they worked together and grew old together. She leaves behind three children, Sheryl Flexer (Mike), Phillip Patrick (Debbie), and Timothy Patrick (Kesha), eight grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, three sisters, Maxine Hooper, JoAnn Hooper, and Carolyn Wanamaker (Floyd), one brother, Ralph Curtis (Jennie), numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, C/O Omega Hill, 2457 Mt. Zion Road, McEwen, TN 37101. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. until Graveside Service time at 11:00 a.m., at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Harold Patrick will be officiating.
