Norma Mitchum Anderson

Norma Ann Mitchum Anderson, age 94 of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Humphreys County Nursing Home. Norma was born March 29, 1926 in Nashville, TN to the late Wayland Hoit Mitchum Sr. and Lillian Edna Cheek. Norma married James E. Anderson. She was a retired pharmacist and owner of P&M Pharmacy in Waverly. Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly, Humphreys County Historical Society, Charter Member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Tennessee Pharmaceutical Association and an advocate of Vanderbilt University and University of Tennessee Memphis Pharmacy School.

Visitation for Mrs. Norma Anderson will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN.  Dr. Scott Brown will officiate the service.  Interment will be at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Waverly First Baptist Church or the charity of your choice in honor of Norma.

Four nephews: Wayland Mitchum (Kim) of McKenzie, TN and Johnny Gatlin (Judy) of Waverly, Ken Anderson of Waverly, Steve Anderson of Kingston Springs, TN.

and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayland and Lillian Edna Mitchum, her husband James E. Anderson, brother, Buddy Mitchum, sisters, Martha D. Bowen and Judy M. Gatlin, Brother in law John Young, nephews, Mike Mitchum, Jim Morgan, Larry Lofton, Bob Boone, Gary Forrester, and great-niece, Heather Mitchum.
