Mary Ann Gregory

Mrs. Mary Ann Gregory, age 80 of  Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born November 24, 1939 in Ripley, West Virginia to Seamen F. McGrew and Reva Ferrell McGrew. Mary Ann retired from DuPont where she worked in the administrative department as a secretary and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waverly. She was married to the late William A. Gregory Sr. and they had two children, William Jr. and Greer Gregory.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 22, 2020 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 10:00am until time of service beginning at 12:00. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Purcell will officiate the service.

Her survivors include:

Son: William A. Gregory Jr. (Tracey), Atlanta, GA

Daughter: Greer Burlison (Frankie), New Johnsonville, TN

Sister: Betty Surette, Ormond Beach, FL

Two Brothers: Jim McGrew of Mt. Juliet, TN and Dan McGrew of Hixon, TN

Five Grandchildren: Lindsey Gregory (Dev Jarrett), Brittni Hayes (Luke), Taylor Palmer (Grant), Carlee Richardson (Kane) and Todd Gregory (Savannah).

Four Great-grandchildren: Rhett & Blane Hayes and Emerie & Zane Richardson.

She also leaves a special friend, Ray Curtis, Waverly, TN

She is preceded in death by her parents, Seamen and Reva McGrew, her husband, William Gregory, Sr. and one brother, Sam McGrew.
