Martha Sue Brown Simpson

Mrs. Martha Sue Brown Simpson, age 81, of McEwen, TN, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Sue Simpson was born September 3, 1940, in Bold Springs, TN, to Joe Edward and Alta Mae Scurlock Brown. She was married to Marvin Lanier Simpson. Mrs. Simpson was a retired School Teacher from Waverly Central High School. She was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church. Sue Simpson was a member of the Humphreys County Retired Teachers Association, DAR, Blue Creek FCE, and she loved meeting monthly with the Book Club Girls. There will be a private family Graveside Service and Interment at the Anderson Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Rev. Steven Lee will be officiating the private service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Waverly Central High School Library, 1325 Hwy. 70 West, Waverly, TN 37185.
