Marjorie Helen Van Fossen

Mrs. Marjorie Helen Van Fossen, age 96, of McEwen, TN, died Monday, February 3, 2020, at her daughter's home in McEwen, TN. Mrs. Van Fossen was born October 11, 1923, in Deerfield, KS, to George and Ida Helen Hefner Uphoff. She was married to Carl "Sonny" Van Fossen. She is a retired Head Teller for Liberty Food Downtown. Mrs. Van Fossen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McEwen, member of American Legion, Legion of Mary, and Schoenstatt Shrine of Blessed Virgin Mary. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, February 6, 2020, from 1-8 p.m., with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Visitation on Friday, February 7, 2020, will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2020, at St Patrick's Catholic Church in McEwen. Father Zach Kirangu will be officiating the mass. Cremation will follow the service. A Memorial Service at Holy Angels Catholic Church and burial of cremains in Glen Cemetery, will be held in Sidney, OH at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or St. Patrick's School, 175 St. Patrick Street, McEwen, TN 37101, and masses said for Mrs. Van Fossen. You may also leave your donations at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen and we will gladly forward them for you.
