Margaret Anne Grebner

Margaret Anne Grebner, age 86, of McEwen, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at NHC Dickson. She was born on July 23, 1936 in Kettering, England to the late Herbert and Alice Whiting. Margaret was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McEwen since 1980. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of WOWE in Waverly. Margaret was also a volunteer at the Senior Center in McEwen and the James Center.

Left to cherish her memory are her 7 children, Gail Teresa Evans (Gilbert) of Hanna City, IL, Gregory Paul Grebner (Leah) of Peoria, IL, Geraldine Marie Grebner of Bellevue, TN, Gloria Anne Gillespie (David) of Creve Coeur, IL, Gary Frederick Grebner (Christal) of McEwen, TN, Glenis Patricia Young (Tracy) of McEwen, TN and Graham John Grebner (Krystal) of Ooltewah, TN; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Harley Frederick Grebner and sister, Joyce Elizabeth Webb.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Rosary to take place at 6:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McEwen, TN, at 10:00 A.M. (175 St. Patrick Street, McEwen, TN 37101). Father Kevin Dowling to officiate. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Young, Sam Grebner, Adam Gillespie, Travis Young, Jeremy Gillespie and Jeff Evans.
