Malcolm Layne Hemby, age 18, of Waverly, TN, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022. Layne Hemby was born January 8, 2004, in Nashville, TN, to William Christopher Hemby and Leona Marie Marrs Hemby. He was a graduate of Waverly Central High School Class of 2022. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in New Johnsonville, TN. Layne was a member of Waverly Central High School FFA, Beta Club, and graduated with Distinction. He was employed at McDonald’s in Waverly, TN. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m., at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Sister Caroline Farmer-Liles will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Hemby Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
