Maggie Mai Sawick

Mrs. Maggie Mai Sawick, age 90 of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born September 8, 1928 and lived most of her life in TN.  Mrs. Maggie loved sewing, telling stories and creating photo albums to share with everyone who visited her. She enjoyed caring for her plants and watching them bloom, her favorite flower was the Orchid. She was a retired employee of Acme Boot Company and a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Maggie loved her family and made friends wherever she went.

Survivors include:

Son: Walter Wright (Vickie), Waverly, TN

Daughter-in-law: Shelia Wright, Waverly, TN

Son-in-law: Mark Brown, Hurricane Mills, TN

Eight (8) grandchildren: Jennifer (Floyd) Leathers, Becky (Michael) Grando, Valerie Beecham, Billy Beecham, Jessica Watters, Maghan Brown, Emily Brown, and Janie Wright.

Three (3) Great Grandchildren: Karl (Rachel) Reynen, Nathan Leathers and Sam Grando.

Two (2) Great-Great Grandchildren: Logan Reynen and Maggie Mai Reynen.

She was preceded in death by:

Parents: Hosea “Doc” Browning and Minnie Medley Browning

First Husband: Willard Otis Wright

Two (2) Daughters: Susan Wright Brown and Anna Lea Watters

Son: Willard “Butch” Wright

Second Husband: Nicholas “Vic” Sawick

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro. Jeff Keele will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Williams Cemetery in Hurricane Mills, TN.
