Mae Evelyn Fortner

Mrs. Mae Evelyn Fortner, age 96, of McEwen, TN, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Waverly Health Care Center in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Fortner was born June 21, 1923, in Waverly, TN, to Archie Coleman and Cora Ann Curtis Grice. She was married to Redick Wesley Fortner. She was a homemaker and member of Mariah Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Mae Fortner was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Eastern Star.  Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 19, 2019, from 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 12:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. Ronnie Burgess will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Active pallbearers will be Alan Jones, Joe David Fortner, Ben Hunt, Michael Oakes, Tim Wilson, Jerry Lee Black, and Donnie Black.
