Lou Ann Simmons Bell

Lou Ann Simmons Bell passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 in Waverly, TN.

She was born July 29, 1953, in Batesville, MS, to H.L (Pete) and Sarah Watts Simmons. She was a graduate of Waverly Central High School Class of 1972. She was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church. She married Allen Bell in May 1980. They had 1 daughter, Sarah Gaitha Bell Grimes, who was born in August 1981.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by her parents, H.L. (Pete) and Sarah Simmons and her brother, Tom Simmons.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Bell; daughter, Sarah Bell Grimes; 3 grandchildren; brother, Jim (Margaret) Simmons, Madison, AL; nephews, Josh Simmons, Madison, AL, and Jessie (Brandi) Simmons, Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

A visitation for Lou Ann will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 beginning at 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:30 A.M. at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jeremy McFarlin. Interment to follow at Richlawn Cemetery.
