Lois Jean Griffin Caneer

Ms. Lois "Jean" Griffin Caneer, age 72, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at her home. Ms. Caneer was born September 28, 1947, in Milan, TN, to Paul and Ruby Powell Griffin. She was a graduate of Waverly Central High School Class of 1966. She was the retired owner of Leaders Furniture Store in New Johnsonville. She was a member of New Johnsonville Church of Christ. Jean had a passion for and trained Arabian horses. She loved driving her different Corvette Stingrays. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 2, 2020, from 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Wesley Dodd will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens, 19010 Huntingdon McKenzie Road, McKenzie, TN. Daniel Willis and Tyler Willis will be officiating at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers will be the Waverly Central High School Class of 1966 Alumni. Special thank you to Caris Healthcare Hospice, Dr. George Mathai, and North Wing doctors and nurses at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN, for the excellent and professional care given to Jean.
