Joshua Shane Johnson-Woodie

Joshua Shane Johnson-Woodie, longtime resident of Waverly and McEwen, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019.  He was born June 11, 1978 in Fredericktown, MO, to Frank Johnson and Deborah A. England. Joshua was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending most of his time with his family and close friends.  His hobbies included breeding his British bulldogs, building and fixing computers, cooking, science fiction books & entertainment and an eclectic mix of music genres. He adored his children and could be seen frequently wheeling around his daughter Ranie with his family in McEwen and surrounding areas.  He loved to spend time doing outside activities with his family such as swimming and cookouts at the park. He is survived by his 4 children, Waylan Garton of White House, TN, Gage Garton, Rhiannon (Ranie) Garton, and Danielle (Dani) Garton, and his long-time love and mother of his children Rebekah Garton, all of McEwen, TN.  He is also survived by his parents, his mother Deborah Woodie and her husband (stepfather) Billy Wofford of McEwen, father Mark Woodie of Nashville and one brother, Calan (Kimberley) Woodie of Linden, TN, and 3 nieces and a nephew. A Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 19th at 3 PM with visitation at 2 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home, 2400 Hwy 13 N, Waverly, TN 37185.
