Janie Brake Betty

Mrs. Janie Brake Betty, age 73, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Betty was born February 4, 1945, in Only, TN, to Lonnie and Elsie Warner Brake. She was married to Roger Lynn Betty. Janie was a retired secretary for Waverly Lumber Company. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Three Rivers Fellowship, a dedicated Mission Friends Teacher, and Sunday School Teacher. Janie loved Operation Christmas Child and was instrumental in getting it started in her own church as well as Humphreys County. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 4-8 p.m., and Sunday, December 30, 2018, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Pastor Wayne Purcell will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
