Jan Dacus Fitzgerald

Jan Dacus Fitzgerald, age 50 of Hurricane Mills, TN passed away tragically on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Jan was born in Nashville, TN on October 22, 1971 to James Dacus and Janice Rudolph. She was a dental assistant for 15 years.  She also worked at the Eye Clinic for 5 years until her family opened Dacus Hardware in Waverly, TN where she became the Hardware Manager. Jan enjoyed being with her family, gardening and cross stitching. She was very hands on and enjoyed her crafts. She was also a member at the Church of Nazarene for 15 years. Jan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to all.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Frank Fitzgerald of Hurricane Mills, TN; daughters, Frankie Oakley (Cory) of Waverly, TN, Jacy Waggoner (Austin) of Hurricane Mills, TN; son, Jack Fitzgerald of Hurricane Mills, TN; mother, Janice Rudolph of Waverly, TN; sisters, Lesa Marrs (Pierce) Thompson Station, TN and Kelly Brown (Ronny) of New Johnsonville, TN; grandchildren, Sophia Oakley, Lily Oakley, Bently Waggoner, Waylon Waggoner and Ellie Waggoner; niece, Amanda Parkes (Michael); nephews, Nick Marrs (Kristen), Nathan Marrs (Sarah) and Ron Brown (Kayti) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jan is preceded in death by her father, James Edward Dacus.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. A visitation will be held prior at 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  Pastor Daron Brown will be officiating.
