James William Rumsey

Mr. James William Rumsey, age 85, of McEwen, TN, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at NHC Health Care & Rehab Center in Dickson, TN. Mr. Rumsey was born October 13, 1933, in McEwen, TN, to Starling and Mary Hall Rumsey. He was married to Betty Sue Wallace Rumsey. Mr. Rumsey was a retired Laborer from Consolidated Aluminum Corporation and Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of Bold Spring church of Christ in McEwen, TN. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 7, 2019, from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Bro. Joe James will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Young Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Hunter Stewart, Ethan Tummins, Daniel Stanfill, Keith Grisby, Chris Hooper, Presley Carter, Brayden Grisby, and Houston Howell.   Survivors include: Wife: Betty Rumsey, McEwen, TN 2 Daughters: Terri Tummins (Wade), McEwen, TN Rhonda Stewart (Ronnie), McEwen, TN 8 Grandchildren: Jamie Stanfill (Daniel), Laurie Grisby (Keith), Brittany Carter (Presley), Lindsey Hooper (Chris), Ethan Tummins (Holly), Hunter Stewart, Makenzie Stewart, and Whitney Stewart 13 Great Grandchildren: Presten Carter, Danielle Carter, Brayden Grisby, Jack Grisby, Aubree Stanfill, Aiden Hooper, Alex Carter, Lakynn Hooper, Ronianne Carter, Colt Stanfill, Sawyer Grisby, Hadlee Stanfill, and Ryder Hooper.   Preceded in death by: Daughter: Barbara Louise Rumsey Parents: Starling and Mary Rumsey Brother: B.
