Mrs. Hilda Louise Scurlock Buchanan, age 97, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Waverly, TN, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, in Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Mrs. Buchanan was born October 16, 1923, in Hurricane Mills, TN, to Archie W. and Hettie Reynolds Scurlock. She was married to the late Rev. Herman D. Buchanan. She was a member of Methodist Memorial Mission in Waverly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Graveside service and interment will be Monday, October 26, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Rev. Louis Johnson of Manchester, TN will be officiating the service.
