“Greatly Blessed and Highly Favored”

Gerald “Jerry” Robert Belles, age 83, of McEwen, TN passed away at his residence surrounded by family on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born on January 28, 1941, in Alden, NY to the late Eleanor Oyer Belles and Ernest Belles. Jerry will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, mentor, and a true cowboy through and through. He loved Jesus, his country, and the countless friends he made on his journey through his amazing life.

Left to continue his legacy is his wife of 64 years, Jeanne Belles of McEwen, TN; children, Roger Reid (Jackie) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lori Edwards (Steve) of New Johnsonville, TN, Debbie Bidwell (Shawn) of McEwen, TN and Amy Bryan (Andy) of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Cody Reid, Taylor Kaufman (Luke), Kadin Edwards, Quinlyn Bidwell, Jake Bryan and Hannah Bryan; great-grandson, Deacon Kaufman; nephews, John Belles and Mark Belles; nieces, Kristi Allen, Kimberly Stoneham and Keri Moya; Lindee and Price Morgan; and sister-in-laws, Kathy (Dennis) and Jorja (Jed).

Along with his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Belles and sister-in-law, Phyllis Belles.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at River Run Arena (8807 Forks of the River Road, Hurricane Mills, TN 37078) at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Mike Fletcher. A meal will follow after the service.
