Florence Petrie

Mrs. Florence Pruss Petrie age 87 of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her residence at Magnolia Place. She was born April 9, 1931 in Scott Township, PA to the late John A. and Tillie A. Nowicki Pruss. She was married to the late Humphreys County Juvenile and General Sessions Court Judge James L. Petrie. Mrs. Petrie was retired from Bell South- now AT&T. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a lector, volunteer at the school, church picnic, and St. Vincent de Paul. She was a member of the FCE and Waverly Ladies Golf Association. Mrs. Petrie was an avid bridge player, bird watcher, gardener, knitter, crocheter, and sports fan.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 16, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN with Rosary beginning at 8:00pm. Funeral Mass for Mrs. Florence Petrie will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in McEwen, TN conducted by Father Anthony Stewart. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Coraopolis, PA
