Elmer Shorty Mosley

Mr. Elmer Shorty Mosley, age 80, of Waverly, TN, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home. Shorty Mosley was born April 27, 1941, in Waverly, TN to Pony Mosley and Nettie Mildred Wofford Mosley. He was married to Marcia Ann LaPlante Mosley. Shorty was a retired Supervisor for Conalco in New Johnsonville, TN and a retired Maintenance Man for Humphreys County Utility District in Waverly, TN. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. He was a beef cattle farmer. He was an avid gardener especially growing his tomatoes. Shorty was also a member of Humphreys County Coon Hunters Club and an avid fisherman. Shorty loved spending precious time enjoying his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Waverly, 300 East Main St., Waverly, TN. Dr. Scott Brown will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Simpson Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
