Edwin "Buddy" Gene Mullinax, Sr.

Rev. Edwin "Buddy" Gene Mullinax, Sr., age 81, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022, at his home. Rev. Buddy Mullinax was born June 14, 1940, in Etowah, TN, to Lewis Edwin Mullinax and Edith Lillie Tallent Mullinax. He was married to Mary Evelyn Sliger Mullinax. Rev. Mullinax was a Minister and member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Hurricane Mills, TN for over 40 years. He was a Retired Multicraft Mechanic from Hood Container in New Johnsonville, TN. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Rev. Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He always had a kind word and wonderful smile for everyone he met. "Praise the Lord!" Visitation with the family will be Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. until funeral service time at 4:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Eddie Mullinax, Kenny Mullinax, and Tim Mullinax will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly.
