Dorothy Louise Milligan

Mrs. Dorothy Louise “Granny Dot” Bowman Milligan, age 86, of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at her home. Granny Dot was born February 11, 1936, in Waverly, TN, to Thomas Edward and Lorene Bumpus Bowman. She was a graduate of Waverly Central High School Class of 1954. She was a 50+ year member of the Order of Eastern Star. Granny Dot loved and was an avid fan of baseball games and basketball games. You could find her in the school gym sitting center court, front row, on the bleachers and she was “run over” by numerous basketball players over the years. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and worked with Dr. Arthur Walker for many years. She loved and adored spending time with her precious family. Everyone who knew her loved her and she will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Monday, July 18, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Tony Burns and Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly. Active Pallbearers will be Dwayne Davis, Bobby Williams, Robert Williams, Frankie Larkin, Bruce Gibson, and Rio Youngblood.
