Dorothy Buford Garretty Freeland

Mrs. Dorothy Buford Garretty Freeland, age 96, of Waverly, TN, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020,  at Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, TN. Dorothy was born October 12, 1923, in Nashville, TN, to Buford Garretty and Willie Mae Garretty. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and the Waverly First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Dr. John Carpenter & Rev. Nathan Moore will be officiating the service.  Interment will be at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Freeland to the Waverly First United Methodist Church.  You can mail your donations to: WUMC, P.O. She is preceded in death by: Husband: Jewell L. Freeland, Parents: Buford and Willie Mae Garretty, Brother: Robert Garretty, & 2 Sisters: Helen Odom & Nancy Munson.
