Mrs. Doris Partin Crane passed to Life Eternal on August 20, 2018 at Shelby Gardens in Memphis. Her departure was much like the way she lived her life-quiet, gentle, and dignified.Doris was born on May 12, 1921, in the hospital in Lexington, Tennessee, to Carl W. Partin and Mary Woods Partin, of Parsons, Tennessee. She was predeceased by her parents, first husband Glenn Jordan of Parsons, second husband Bruce B. Crane of Waverly, daughter Doris Diane Jordan of Lexington, and granddaughter Lisa Fortner Hurst of Chandler, AZ.She is survived by her step-daughter Doris Crane Fortner of Memphis, grandson Scott Fortner (Angela) of Martin, Tennessee, and granddaughter Lynne Fortner Albonetti (Michael) of Memphis, and grandson-in-law David Hurst of Chandler, AZ.She has seven great grandchildren who call her "GIGI"They are: Matthew Fortner, Zachary Fortner, Nicholas Fortner, David Alexander Hurst, Logan Crane Hurst, Allison Albonetti Dauberger (Erick) and Kristina Albonetti.She also has two great great grandchildren, LilyBeth and Sullivan Fortner.Doris Crane was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and one of the founding members of the Waverly Baptist Church. She was for many years the librarian of the Humphreys County Library.Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2018, from 11:00 AM until Service time at 12:00 PM at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, followed by a Graveside Service at Richlawn Cemetery.
