Doris Ann Wilson Cooley

Doris Ann Wilson Cooley, age 69 of Waverly, TN passed away at her residence surrounded by her family Friday, March 24, 2023. Doris was born in Waverly, TN on December 4, 1953 to the late Rosie Bell Moran Wilson and John Allan Wilson. Doris was very devoted to her family. Her favorite and most cherished title was "mammie". She was an avid seamstress, a crafter and a good cook. She attended Waverly Church of the Nazarene. Doris's family and friends will remember her as a loving and devoted wife, mother, mammie, sister, aunt and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kimberly Zills (Jason) of Waverly, TN and Eranne Ferrell of Waverly, TN; grandchildren, Lindsay Jae Zills, Emma-Leigh Grace Ferrell and Jase Kinley Ferrell; sisters, Jo Trotter (Gene) of Waverly, TN and Tommie Gadberry (Jim) of Centerville, TN; and brother-in-law, Ricky Cooley (Charlie) of Waverly, TN.

Along with her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Lee Cooley; sister, Johnnie Oakley; brother, Kenneth Wilson; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Cooley.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023 beginning at 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Luff-Bowen in Waverly, and on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 A.M until the hour of service at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Daron Brown is officiating. Interment to follow at Crockett Meadow Cemetery in Hurricane Mills, TN.
