Ronnie Stewart

Mr. Charles Ronald "Ronnie" Stewart, age 73 of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.Ronnie was born November 4, 1947 in Humphreys County to Henry Stewart and Lorene Dyer Stewart. He married Bettye Tolbert Stewart and they had two children, Rhonda and Chipper. He was a Gas Operator for Tennessee Gas and was a member of the Wilwood Valley Church of Christ in Hurricane Mills. He loved his Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans. He enjoyed mowing grass, having cookouts, and set many a trot lines.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Bro. Jeremy McFarlin will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Jones-Owens-Mayberry Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bettye Stewart.

One daughter, Rhonda Waggoner (Robert) of Waverly, TN;

One son, Chipper Stewart ( Terri Lynn) of Waverly, TN;

Two brothers, Mike Stewart (Penny) of Hurricane Mills, TN and Harold Stewart (Leah) of Waverly, TN.

He also leaves three grandchildren, Brooklyn Allen, Lexie Street (fiance Brett), and Ragan Stewart.
