Carroll Jean Williams Bowen

November 13, 1951 — July 5, 2020

Mrs. Carroll Jean Williams Bowen, age 68, of Waverly, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her home after a long battle with breast cancer.

Carroll was born November 13, 1951 in Holladay, Tennessee to Rudolph Junior Williams and Ellen Lenora Conrad Williams. She married Jess "Cooter" Bowen, III and they had two children, Julie and Jennifer. Carroll was a Medical Laboratory Technician for over 30 years for Three Rivers Community Hospital and Waverly Clinic PC. She was also a member of the Waverly First United Methodist Church.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly from 5-8pm and on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 from 10am until funeral service time at 1pm. Funeral services will be conducted by her son-in-law, Robby Einerson and Dr. John Carpenter. Social distancing is recommended and the use of masks is requested. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery. 

Pallbearers who will serve are, Will Ellis, Knox Einerson, Eric Reed, Ben Bowen, Dr. Steve Kowalski, Chris Kowalski, and Jason Dexter.

In lieu of flowers, the Bowen family requests donations be made to the Houston-Humphreys County Camp of The Gideons International, Waverly First United Methodist Church, The Waverly Animal Shelter, or the charity/entity of your choice. You may leave your donations at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home and we will gladly forward them for you.

Four Grandchildren: Madeline Camille Einerson, Autumn Makenzie Ellis, William Bowen Ellis, Knox Anthony Einerson all of Waverly

Brother-in-law: David Bowen (Marcia), Brentwood, TN

Sister-in-law: Dr. Judith Bowen Kowalski (Dr. Steve), Birmingham, AL

Special sister of the heart: Gayle Hutchison, Waverly, TN

She was very fond of her very attentive cats, Abby, Tipsy, Prissy, and Happy and a very special deceased cat, Thomas.
