Mrs. Betty McCord Baker, age 84, of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Baker was born November 27, 1937, in Johnsonville, TN, to Albert Lee McCord and Mildred Alice Hughey McCord. She was married to Jimmy Reed Baker. She was a member of Waverly church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star Waverly Chapter. She was a retired Secretary for the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services in Waverly. Betty loved flower gardening, Relay for Life, and she enjoyed spending precious time with her family. Visitation with the family will be held Monday, June 20, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 11:00 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Humphreys County Humane Society, 108 Young Road, Waverly, TN 37185. You may also leave your donations at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly and we will gladly forward them for you.
