Bertie Louise Long

Mrs. Bertie Louise Long, age 88, of McEwen, TN, died Thursday, March 5, 2020, at NHC Healthcare in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Long was born January 28, 1932, in Houston County, TN, to William A Watson and Maggie Philpot Watson. She was married to Douglas Long. She worked at the McEwen School in the lunchroom. Mrs. Long was a member of the McEwen Church Of Christ.  She was known to be tough and strong in her faith.  Some of her favorite hobbies were gardening and cooking and chocolate drop cookies were her signature dessert.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, from10:00 AM until the time of service beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at McEwen Cemetery in McEwen, TN.

6 Great Grandchildren- Andrea Trout (Collin), Kalyn Cochran (Grant), Noah Spicer (Ashley), Eli Spicer, Isabel Poling & Myla Poling.

3 Great Great Grandchildren- Rhoslyn Trout, Elliana Spicer & Elon Cochran.

She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas Long, 3 sisters: Emma Ruth, Annie Laura & Hazel Marie Watson, 4 brothers: Carl Rex, Harold Thomas, James Homer, & William Clifden Watson.
