Bernice Mae Brown Johnson

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN, for Bernice Brown Johnson of Waverly, TN. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly.

Mrs. Johnson, age 94, died July 7, 2021. She was born March 9, 1927 in Brown Hollow in Hickman County, TN.

She was an excellent seamstress and housewife.  She was a member of the Wildwood Valley Church of Christ in Hurricane Mills, TN. Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Willie Oscar Brown and Eva Allen Brown.

Survivors include two daughters: Cynthia Bradley, Franklin, TN and Angela Gantlett, Waverly, TN. Also she was blessed with eight grandchildren, James Cooley, Brandon McGee, Brittany McGee Fuller, Jessica Johnson, Scotty Barnhill, Brian Barnhill, Jeffery Barnhill, Teresa Barnhill Jenkins and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband: Harold Douglas Johnson, her sons: Harold Dwayne Johnson and Bobby Barnhill and siblings: Earlene Bishop, Jim Brown, Walter Brown,  Herbert Brown, Beulah Brown, Pearl Turner, Olin Brown, Lillie Brown and Henry Brown, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
