Anna Sue Ayres

Mrs. Anna Sue Goodman Ayres, age 81, of Waverly, TN, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Ayres was born October 21, 1939, in Camden, TN, to Carroll and Annie Ruth McDaniel Goodman. She was married to Larry Dean Ayres. Anna and Larry were the Co-owners of Waverly Carpet Center for many years. She was a member of Waverly Church of Christ. Anna loved spending precious time with her family, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, reading, and sewing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Anna Ayres will be cremated at her request, at Richlawn Crematory, our on-site crematory, at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. CHANGED SERVICES DUE TO FLOODING IN HUMPHREYS COUNTY: Visitation with the family will be Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until Celebration of Life Service time at 3:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Ms. Deanna Ayres Wilson will be officiating the service.
