Mrs. Reva Mai Brazzle was born to Alva Debow and Mary Helen Isabell Hatcher Simpson August 10, 1928 in a little house on Big Blue Creek. She lived all but 4 years in that house. She passed from this life very peacefully in that house on December 15, 2017 at the age of age 89 years and 4 months. She was married to the late SJ Brazzle for 68 years who proceeded her in death.Mrs. Brazzle is survived by: 3 children: Rowena Hayes (Larry), McEwen, TN Alton Brazzle (Sandra), Chattanooga, TN Rex Brazzle (Joyce), Lexington, TN Grandchildren: Michelle Massey (Gary) of Signal Mountain, TN Stuart Brazzle (Anna) of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA Mary Anne Allen (John) of Yadkinville, NC Emily Drucker (Jake) of Murfreesboro, TN Jason Brazzle (Kerri) of Clarksville, TN Bryan Brazzle (Ka Young) of Tacoma, WA Cheryl Melendez (Eddie) of Kissimmee, FL 10 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reva was an active member of the Waverly church of Christ where she taught children’s and ladies Bible classes. She was past president of the Humphreys County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, District 2 Outstanding Leader of the Farm Bureau, and past member of the FCE.Her hobbies included sewing for El Salvador Missions, crocheting, reading, and quilting. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN from 2pm-5pm. Funeral service for Reva Brazzle will be Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11am at Luff-Bowen in Waverly, TN conducted by Gary Massey. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery in McEwen. The family suggests memorials be made to the El Salvadorian Missions at Waverly Church of Christ.
