Mrs. Margaret Emma Stitt, age 97 of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at NHC Dickson. Mrs. Stitt was born October 4, 1920 in Waverly, TN to the late Hugh Dan Hedge and Mamie D. Reeves Hedge. She was married to the late Curte Carter Stitt, Sr. for 60 years. She was the former owner of the Town & Country Style Shop in Waverly. Mrs. Stitt was a member of the church of Christ and the Robert E. Lee Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star.Mrs. Stitt is survived by her: Children: Lonnie Lee Kilgore (Darryl) of Fairview, TN Curte C. Stitt, Jr. (Esta) of Pegram, TNSister: Opal Hedge Watkins of Mt. Juliet, TNGrandchildren: Elisabeth Kilgore Long (Tim) Kathryn Anne-Margaret Kilgore Woodall (Tony) Rebecca Stitt Laugherty (Dustin) Rachel Stitt Smiley (John) Robbyn Stitt Griffin (Adam) Robert Stitt Ryan StittGreat-Grandchildren: Samantha Long, Eric Long, Samantha Laugherty, William Woodall, Alexander Woodall, Emma Grace Smiley, John Carter Smiley, Peyton Griffin, Brooke Griffin, Elyse Griffith,In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Stitt is preceded in death by her grandchildren Lori Kilgore, and twins Curte and Eugene Kilgore.Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN from 9:30am-11:00am. Funeral service for Margaret Stitt will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00am at Luff-Bowen in Waverly, TN conducted by Darryl Kilgore. Interment will follow at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly. The family suggests memorials be made to either Ronald McDonald House or churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc.
