Max Daniel Schofield

Mr. Max Daniel Schofield, age 89, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Mr. Schofield was born June 29, 1928, in Mount Morris, Michigan, to Samuel Wesley and Neva Leathers Schofield. He was married to Mary Helen Ponder Schofield. He was a member of Waverly church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired Transmission Builder for General Motors in Michigan. Mr. Schofield was also a member of the NRA and the United Auto Workers Local Union #599. He was an avid hunter. Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 8, 2017, from 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating the service.
