Josephine Susan Shields

Mrs. Josephine Susan Spicer Shields age 91, of Waverly, TN, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Shields was born on June 16, 1926 in Waverly, TN, to Sherman and Ruth Lashlee Spicer. She was married to the late Richard "Bubba Lee" Shields. She was a member of the Salter's Chapel AME church in Waverly. She was a member of the Faith, Hope and Charity Organization at the Salter's Church and, a Sunday School teacher for many years. Visitation with the family will be Monday, October 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m., until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral in Waverly with Rev. Everette Hobson, Sr., officiating the service.
