Mrs. Mary Faye Corbitt Bumpus of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017, on her 92nd birthday, in the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Bumpus was born September 19, 1925, in New Johnsonville, TN, to Jesse Allen "Johnnie" Corbitt and Luvisa Caroline "Lula" Bruce Corbitt. She was married to John Elmer Bumpus. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in New Johnsonville, TN. Mrs. Bumpus was a homemaker and was well loved by her family and her community. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Rev. Paul Edwards will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.
