Douglas Rex May

Mr. Douglas Rex May, age 87, of Waverly, TN, and formerly of Hurricane Mills, TN, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, in the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly. Mr. Rex May was born May 29, 1929, in Hurricane Mills, TN, to Emit and Catherine May May. He was married to Peggy Lou Morgan May. He was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church, a 50+ years Mason and member of the George Hillman Lodge #431 in Hurricane Mills, TN, Shriner, Scottish Rite, and served on the Humphreys County Board of Equalization. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 2:30 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Pastor Thad Collier will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Crockett-Meadow Cemetery in Hurricane Mills, TN. Active Pallbearers will be Scott Porch, Andy Porch, Taylor Porch, Kyle May, Steve May, Josh May, Bobby Hooper, and Calvin White.
