Ann Haygood Hall

Mrs. Ann Haygood Hall, age 92, a life long Waverly resident, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Humphreys County Nursing Home (HCNH). Mrs. Hall was born in Waverly on January 15, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Ophelia Carroll Haygood. Her Husband, Rex M. Hall, preceded her in death by almost 32 years. Mrs. Hall, having earned a masters degree in Mathematics from Peabody School in Nashville, may be best known from her many years as a Waverly Central High School math teacher. To others she was a valued member of the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hall leaves behind two daughters. Carol (Craig) Money resides in Kingston, TN; and Holly (Ben) Couch lives in Franklin, TN. Her grandchildren are Sean Money of Charleston, SC; Dr. Noelle Money of Kingston, TN; Dr. F.B. "Jami" Couch, IV (Lindsay), of Nashville, TN; Chris Couch of Nashville, TN; Rebecca Couch of Franklin, TN; and T.J. Couch of Franklin, TN. Noelle has one, son, John Oliver Kelly. Grandsons, Jami, Chris, and T.J.; sons-in-law, Ben and Craig; and Rebecca's fiancé, Kaleb Markey, will serve as pallbearers. Brother Glenn Warren of Paducah, KY, will officiate.The family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017, with the funeral service at 9 am Friday, March 10, 2017. Both will be at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Waverly.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to the HCNH, 670 Highway 13 South, Waverly, TN 37185, Attn.
