Mrs. Cynthia Jane Swearns Betty, age 93, of McEwen, TN, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Betty was born December 12, 1922 to Alfred Roy "Pete" and Pearl Julia Clements Swearns. She was married to Cecil Walter Betty, who preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Jane Betty was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016, from 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, February 17, 2016, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. Mark Beecham will be officiating the service.
