Ruby "Marie" Stone Porch

Mrs. Ruby "Marie" Stone Porch, age 88, of Waverly, TN, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, in NHC Health Care Center in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Porch was born October 16, 1927, in Tremont, MS, to Hugh Cowden "Pop" and Ruby Costa Cofield Stone. She was married to Davis "Scott" Porch, Jr.  She was a retired Owner/Office Manager of Waverly Insurance Agency and a member of the Waverly Church of Christ. Mrs. Porch was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Humphreys County Historical Society, Friday Bridge Club, Volunteer for the Humphreys County Museum, former Leader for the Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Girl Scout Troops in Waverly, supporter of the Waverly Band Boosters and the James Development Center in Waverly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 28, 2015, from 4-8 p.m., and Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 12 p.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Waddell Lee and Pastor Thad Collier will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Wyly Cemetery in Waverly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Humphreys County Historical Society, or the Humphreys County Musuem.
