Frances Bowen Hutchison

Mrs. Frances Bowen Hutchison, age 91, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN. Miss Frances Gayle Bowen was born March 30, 1924, in Waverly, TN, to Jess Sewell Bowen, Sr. and Maggie May Luff Bowen. She was married to Fred Malugen Hutchison. Mrs. Hutchison was a graduate of Waverly High School and the University of Tennessee Knoxville, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Waverly and the Order of Eastern Star. Frances and Fred Hutchison were the former owners of the Imperial Lodge in Waverly. She was a retired Bookkeeper for Luff-Bowen, Inc. and a retired Customer Service Representative for the Citizens Bank in Waverly. Mrs. Frances Bowen Hutchison was the loving matriarch and the last living sibling of the "five Bowen children" of Jess Sr. and Maggie May Luff Bowen. Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 13, 2015, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 11 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Joe James will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly. Active pallbearers will be Jess S. "Cooter" Bowen, III, David C. Bowen, Robby Einerson, Mike Matlock, John Moravetz, and Dr. Steve Kowalski. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Smith, Dr. Harold Buerlein, Buster Hutchison, Laura Hooper, Charlie & Ricky Cooley, Kay Hampton, Faye & Don Winstead, Tammy Lewis, Virgil & Wanda Cochran, Doris Ann Cooley, Eranne Ferrell, Kim & Jason Zills, Becky and Harold Whitehead.
