Mrs. Peggy Jean Hooper Johnson, age 79, of Kingston Springs, TN, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born August 2, 1936, in McEwen, TN, to Woodrow "Buster" and Beulah Faye Cable Hooper. She was married to James Ray Johnson. She was a member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. She was a retired Account Specialist for the State of Tennessee Governor's Office in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 3-8 p.m., and Sunday, November 1, 2015, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Rev. David Deavers will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in McEwen. Active pallbearers will be: Michael Johnson, Christopher Curtis, Jake Hughes, Sammy Hooper, Jeff Neely, and Greg Hooper.
